There was general agreement to use ASKFRED and the Division website to list all
tournaments.
Mark D (CDFS) expressed a need for foil judges- received some volunteers and
suggestions, given contact for Div. members.
2. Proposal – funding for elite fencers
- the fencer needs to be on the point list
- use one third of the HBD treasury, renewable each year
- $ goes to the clubs, not individuals
- clubs need to send info back to Div on what the $ was spent on (Entry fees do
NOT qualify)
- Discussion on dates for proposal timing: in Sept?, points drop off in July,
previous season or NOW?, agreed to a date of JULY 30TH Points list (amendment
in proposal).
- John (secretary) needs copies of the points list
- Number qualified equally split the money, then send the check to the club.
- Need ways to come up with money for the fund.
3. Treasurer’s report:
- Income $350.00
- Paid for referees and for tournament sites
- HB Div will raise entry fees: $15 per event (agreed to in May 2007)
- Proposal to raise fees to $20 per event (qualifiers and sectionals) to start next year
(when?)
4. Referee Seminar – Bruce G. will let Div know when, Bernie D. volunteered his
place. Has been scheduled for November 18 @ Vasser.
